Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)
Simple breathing tests that show how well your lungs are working.
Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) measure how much air you can breathe in and out, how well air moves through your lungs, and how effectively oxygen gets into your body. These tests help your doctor understand the cause of symptoms such as shortness of breath, cough, or reduced exercise tolerance.
PFTs are non-invasive and are commonly used to diagnose and monitor conditions such as asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and other respiratory disorders.

Spirometry
A basic breathing test that measures airflow.
During spirometry, you will be asked to take a deep breath and blow into a mouthpiece. This test measures how much air you can exhale and how quickly you can blow it out. It helps identify airflow limitation and assess how well your lungs are functioning.

Six-Minute Walk Test
A walking test that shows how your lungs respond to activity.
The six-minute walk test measures how far you can walk at a comfortable pace over six minutes while monitoring your oxygen levels and heart rate. This test helps determine whether oxygen levels drop with activity and assesses functional capacity.
It is often used to evaluate exercise tolerance, monitor lung disease, and guide treatment decisions.
